Over The Moon

One year my sister-in-law had the most awesome pumpkin patch. The plants were beautiful with giant green leaves and tons of pumpkins just beginning to turn orange. In the neighbors pasture was a big ol’ bull. One day my sister-in-law went out to check her horse and guess who she spotted smack in the middle of her gorgeous pumpkin patch, enjoying all those lush pumpkins? She mentioned how much bigger that bull looked on her side of the fence! This card reminds me of my sister-in-law’s experience.

finished over the moon card

This card uses the Stampin’ Up “Over The Moon” stamp set. What a fun set with all kinds of possibilities. The card base for this card is Smoky Slate cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. I used the Pinewood Plank 3D Embossing Folder to create the barn wood look. I inked up the raised side of the embossing folder with Whisper White ink before running a piece of 5 1/4” x 4” Real Red card stock through the Big Shot.

I stamped the cow on Whisper White card stock using Basic Black ink, then Stampin’ Blends Light Flirty Flamingo and Dark Basic Black to color the cow. I then cut him out by hand.

To create the pumpkin, I cut three ovals of Grapefruit Grove card stock using the Stitched Shape framelits. Using Garden Green card stock I cut two leaves from an older die set and hand cut a stem.

The mushrooms, flowers and grass were cut from framelits in the Wiggly Bugs die set. Happiness Blooms Enamel Dot’s make the perfect flower centers and Linen Thread adds the perfect rustic touch.

This stamp set has several fun greetings included or the cows can be paired with any greeting of your choice. I love mixing and matching stamp sets, framelits and embossing folders to create unique one-of-a-kind greeting cards! I hope you’ll give this one a try.
