Stampin’ with the New Trucking Along Stamp Set

image of finished truck card which reads "Enjoy Today"

I love this Stampin’ Up stamp set called Trucking Along, that has a coordinating truck punch that goes with it. The truck reminds me of an old farm truck. One that has seen calves born and barns built, hauled many tons of animal feed and wire for mending fences. It’s probably even been on a few joy rides and a hunting trip or two.  This stamp set is great for creating masculine or even general purpose cards, and just might bring back a few memories.

The one thing that really made me happy was how rustic looking the truck turned out. My artistic talents generally do not include coloring, blending, shadowing, or water coloring. The method that I used on this truck was super simple. I used the brown blends marker first to color in where I wanted my highlights to be. I then colored over it with the main color of my truck, and used a little gray on the tires. Lastly, I used the color lifter marker to blend and lighten the colors allowing for some varied shades, highlights and a more water colored look. I think it turned out super, and the color lifter technique is so easy.

The supplies I used on this card in addition to the Trucking Along bundle include Pecan Pie, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow and Basic White card stock; Let’s Go Fishing designer series paper; blends markers; Forever Forest Dies; and the greeting stamped in Pecan Pie is from the Beach Day stamp set. Hope this card gives you some creative card ideas. Happy stamping!

Bells Are Ringing!

Christmas is just around the corner! If you are looking for a fun, versatile stamp set and die cut bundle, Stampin Up’s Bells Are Ringing bundle is one that I recommend. It’s great for Christmas cards, but I think the bells will also work beautifully for wedding cards. Here are a couple of Christmas cards that I made using the set.

This card uses Whisper White and Night of Navy cardstock, Copper Foil sheets, and Vellum. I also used the Subtle 3D embossing folder, Stitched Rectangle dies, Very Vanilla/Copper 1/2” Classic Weave ribbon, and Happiness Blooms enamel dots.

This card uses Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler cardstock, and Silver Glimmer paper. I also used the Rectangle Stitched dies, the Subtle 3D embossing folder, and pearls colored with a Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blends.

Halloween Treat Idea

It’s that time of year again. The days are getting shorter, the leaves are changing colors and there is a cool crispness in the air. That means that Halloween is just around the corner. I actually saw this idea in the Stampin’ Up 2019 Holiday Catalog and thought that it was adorable, so I copied it and gave it my own twist! I made these as giveaways for a card class.

Over The Moon

One year my sister-in-law had the most awesome pumpkin patch. The plants were beautiful with giant green leaves and tons of pumpkins just beginning to turn orange. In the neighbors pasture was a big ol’ bull. One day my sister-in-law went out to check her horse and guess who she spotted smack in the middle of her gorgeous pumpkin patch, enjoying all those lush pumpkins? She mentioned how much bigger that bull looked on her side of the fence! This card reminds me of my sister-in-law’s experience.

Heartland

I raise geese on my little farm. Not only are they fun to watch, but they are great protectors of my chicken flock, they keep the roosters in line and they are the best watch dogs! So, when I saw this goose stamp in the Heartland Cling Mount Stampin’ Up stamp set, I knew I had to create a card with it! I hope you like it and will give it a try. If you are in need of Stampin’ Up supplies and don’t have a demonstrator, I’d be honored if you’d select me, Julie Fuller, as your demonstrator, and if your order is under $150 please use the Host Code located in the upper right hand corner of this Farm Card blog page.

Let It Ride!

Who doesn’t like receiving a handcrafted card made with lots of love! I have been creating handmade cards for many years now, but I just recently became a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. There are a lot of great companies and products out there which can be used for creating homemade cards. Not one company has a run on the market! They all have something to contribute to the fine art of paper crafting. A few reasons that I choose Stampin’ Up include the ease of color coordinating their products, the vast selection of stamps, I appreciate the quality of their products, and their return/replacement policy is awesome!

I would like to share with you my first The Hearty Hen House Stamps farm card. It is my hope that the majority of cards on this page will be farm related. I do not sell the cards, but if you are a stamper or want to be a stamper, maybe these cards will give you some ideas. And if you feel the need to purchase any Stampin’ Up products to create your own cards, I would appreciate it, if you don’t already have your own, that you might choose me as your demonstrator – Julie Fuller,  and use the Host Code listed in the upper right hand side of this Farm Card page. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please leave a message in the comments. Now, let’s get stampin’!
