Country Road

I think that I fell in love with this Country Road Cling-Mount stamp set by Stampin’ Up the first time that I saw it, and I’m very pleased with the way that this card turned out. I like the color combinations of the blues and browns. I’m thinking that the Seaside Spray cardstock is one of my new favorites!

To make this card:

Card base is Seaside Spray cardstock cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2”, scored at 4 1/4” and folded on score line.
Soft Suede layered piece piece is cut 5 1/4” x 4” and adhered to base card.
Crumb Cake layered piece is cut 5” x 3 3/4”, then embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to base card.
The next two layers, Soft Suede and Whisper White cardstock are cut using the nested Stitched Rectangle Dies.
Stamp the weather vane using Soft Suede ink. Stamp the greenery three times with Old Olive ink using the stamp off technique. I stamp the first image original strength, then without re-inking, I stamp the same image twice more, once below the first image and once above.
Stamp the wagon wheel in Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out by hand.
Stamp salutation using Soft Suede ink on Seaside Spray cardstock and cut out using the smallest Stitched Rectangle Die.
Adhere the two Stitched Rectangle pieces together and use Dimensionals or foam pop-ups to adhere to the base card.
Cut a piece of 5/8” Burlap Ribbon approximately 4 1/2” long and slide under the corner of the stitched rectangle pieces using a glue dot to secure in place.
Attach wagon wheel with Dimensionals. The salutation is also attached to the card using Dimensionals. I used a retired candy dot for the wheel cog. You can use a small circle of cardstock, a brad, or color an enamel shape using the Stampin’ Blends.
