Who doesn’t like receiving a handcrafted card made with lots of love! I have been creating handmade cards for many years now, but I just recently became a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator. There are a lot of great companies and products out there which can be used for creating homemade cards. Not one company has a run on the market! They all have something to contribute to the fine art of paper crafting. A few reasons that I choose Stampin’ Up include the ease of color coordinating their products, the vast selection of stamps, I appreciate the quality of their products, and their return/replacement policy is awesome!
I would like to share with you my first The Hearty Hen House Stamps farm card. It is my hope that the majority of cards on this page will be farm related. I do not sell the cards, but if you are a stamper or want to be a stamper, maybe these cards will give you some ideas. And if you feel the need to purchase any Stampin’ Up products to create your own cards, I would appreciate it, if you don’t already have your own, that you might choose me as your demonstrator – Julie Fuller, and use the Host Code listed in the upper right hand side of this Farm Card page. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions, please leave a message in the comments. Now, let’s get stampin’!
This card was created using the Let It Ride cling stamp set and Subtle 3D embossing folder.
To start, my card base is Crumb Cake card stock cut 5 1/2” x 8 1/2” scored at 4 1/4”. I then cut a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock 5 1/4” x 4” and ran it through my Big Shot using the Subtle 3D embossing folder. I taped some linen thread to this piece of cardstock forming an “X” across the front. I taped this piece to the card base.
Using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and the Big Shot I cut a piece of whisper White card stock. I stamped the horse and trees in Soft Suede ink and colored using Light and Dark Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends, and Dark and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. I angled this piece on the card and taped it down.
I love fences! Creating fences is one of my favorites! I stamped the Hardwood background stamp in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake Card stock. I cut 4 strips about 1/4” wide by 1 7/8” long, and 2 strips 1/4” wide 3 1/2” long. Sponge the strips in Soft Suede ink. Form a rickety looking fence and tape together. I adhered the fence to the card using Mini Dimensionals, cut to fit the boards.
Lastly, cut a piece of Whisper White card stock using the Stitched Label Dies that will fit the salutation from that stamp set that you choose to use. Stamp in Soft Suede ink and adhere with dimensionals.
That’s all there is to creating this cute card designed to give someone encouragement. I hope you give it a try! Thanks for checking in!
