What would YOU do with this?
It’s all in your perspective. Some would think this is a mess, an eyesore, a hazard. Others would just think tetanus! I rescued this tangled mess of rusted barbed wire and transformed it into a beautiful home decoration for my nephew’s girlfriend. I hope she loves it!  Â

Wearing very thick gloves and safety glasses I separated the strands of barbed wire and sort of straightened them out a little, getting rid of all the kinks. I then wrapped each strand into the form of a circle. This one is about 18 inches in diameter. I then secured my circle with wire in about three places to hold the different stands together and keep everything stable while I worked. You can use as much or as little barbed wire as you want, and make your circle as big or as small as will work for your project and space.    Â

Then decorate! I used some broken branches from a tree, silk and burlap sunflowers and some raffia. I strategically placed my flowers to hide the wire that is holding the wreath together.

Wouldn’t this look great hanging above a fireplace mantel or on a front door?

Love it Julie!
